A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you are running some company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be really easy in case you have a Linux shared hosting service with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have set up shown alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a certain mailbox stores all the messages for a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature at any moment. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all functionality can be activated with ease if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a tiny button handily situated right next to each one. With just one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option using the contextual menu that will show up. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
